Worcester County Recreation and Parks is excited to announce the release of two new volleyball programs offered this winter at the Recreation Center. On Target Youth Volleyball and High School Recreation Volleyball are the new additions to the list of programs.
On Target Youth Volleyball is a program created to help youth have “On Target” volleyball skills. This means that players will be able to learn more precise passing, hitting, serving, etc. in order to prepare for higher skill levels of volleyball. Beginners are welcome, and knee pads are required.
On Target Youth Volleyball will be held at the Recreation Center, off Highway 113 in Snow Hill on Tuesdays, January 9 through March 27, 2018 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The program is open to students sixth through eighth grade. The cost per person is $30, and $25 for additional children. The registration deadline is Friday, January 5, 2018.
High School Recreation Volleyball has the goal of being a “drop-in” program created to be a place of practice and play after the high school season is over. Students in grades ninth through twelfth are encouraged to come individually or with their team, a spot to play is guaranteed. The program will run on Fridays, January 5 through March 23, 2018 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. The cost is $3 per session or $25 for the quarter.
